Plus Promotions

Promotions like Peak Pay, Challenges, and Delivery Streaks help you earn more.

  • Peak Pay pays you more per delivery or task.

  • Challenges let you earn extra money for completing a certain number of deliveries or tasks in a set amount of time

  • Delivery Streaks allow Dashers to earn extra money by accepting and completing offers consecutively while on a dash when the promotion is in effect.

Dasher Gear

After your first dash, we'll send you a Dasher activation kit that contains items like a food warming bag, Red Card, hand sanitizer, and mask for Dasher safety.

Since no two people have the same taste in gear, there’s an online store so you can get the gear and equipment you want.

Frequently asked questions

Millions of people order food and other goods through DoorDash. When customers place an order, we offer the deliveries or tasks to Dashers, who earn money by picking up and delivering them.

DoorDash is available in over 7,000 cities in all 50 U.S. states, including Washington, D.C., and Puerto Rico; over 80 cities in Canada; and Melbourne, Australia and New Zealand!

Our signup process takes just a few minutes, and most Dashers can start earning within days.

To earn money, all you need is a smartphone and a mode of transportation, such as a car, bike, scooter, or motorcycle. We'll take care of everything else!

Nope. You can use any car to drive, deliver, and earn. You just need a valid driver's license and insurance.

Just tap the 'Already started signing up?' button at the top of this page, and log in using the email address and phone number you used to sign up.

If you're not quite finished, we'll prompt you for missing information. Otherwise you'll see the status of your signup.

You're the boss. As an independent contractor, you have the freedom to drive when it works for your schedule.

You are in control of how many hours you want to dash per day or per week. It's a great alternative to seasonal, temporary, and part-time work.

Nope! You don't need any prior work experience. But if you do have previous experience in the rideshare, food, or courier service industries, delivering with DoorDash is a great way to earn money.

We welcome drivers and bikers from other gig economy or commercial services such as UberEats, Postmates, Lyft, Caviar, Eat24, Google Express, GrubHub, AmazonFresh, Instacart, Amazon, Uber, Waitr, and Bite Squad. Dashers come from all backgrounds and industries, and include catering drivers, truck drivers, and taxi drivers.

With delivery, there are two big differences:

  1. You don't have passengers in your car

  2. You can use any mode of transportation: your car (two doors is fine), bicycle, or motorcycle

It’s also a bit more active than ridesharing, as you get in/out of your car/bike to pick up and deliver the food.

Once you receive a delivery or task opportunity, you'll see where it is and what you'll make, and can choose to accept or reject it. Once you accept, there are generally three steps, all of which are clearly outlined in the Driver app:

  1. Drive to the restaurant

  2. Pick up the food

  3. Drive to the customer to drop off the food
