DoorDash is proudly supporting two spaces available for Melbourne food delivery riders to get to connect with other dashers and take a break.
Dasher Central
We're thrilled to unveil an exciting new space for Dashers in Melbourne. Get ready to kick back, recharge, and connect with fellow Dashers at Dasher Central, your all-in-one resting space, conveniently located within the Zoomo Store in the heart of Melbourne.
At DoorDash, we understand the hustle and bustle of delivery riders. That's why we're committed to ensuring that your experience as a Dasher goes beyond just delivering. We're excited to introduce Dasher Central as your new space for relaxation, networking, and replenishment.
Located within the Zoomo store in Melbourne at 277 Queensberry St, Melbourne VIC 3000 - Dasher Central is a space designed for dashers by dashers. Come take a break, grab a snack, connect with other Dashers and learn more about the latest in e-bike safety with the team at Zoomo.
Location: Zoomo Melbourne, 277 Queensberry St, Melbourne.
Opening Hours: Monday to Saturday, 9am-6pm.
The Gig Workers Hub
What if Dashing were not only a convenient way to support yourself, but also to meet other like-minded people, and even those who share your language?
Come to the Gig Workers Hub to connect with other workers and receive practical advice, free safety and dasher gear - but also to access basic amenities such as clean toilets, a kitchen with free food and drink, and charging points.
This is an independent and culturally attuned space for new migrants and seasoned gig workers alike.
Location: Micro-Labs, 227-229 Bourke Street, Melbourne.
Opening Hours: Thursdays and Sundays from 2-5pm.
Different people get different things from the Hub. Some poke their heads in, grab some free food and drink and head on their way, while others return each week for charging and extended conversation. In each case, the Hub functions as a centralised source of information and support, where seasoned riders can ‘talk shop’ with each other, and where new riders can receive advice about where to wait and how to get the best gear.
