In late 2020, Todd S. made a dash to remember.

He was completing a delivery near a local hospital when he noticed a recently discharged patient without shoes. Todd gave the patient the shoes on his feet, and left the scene barefoot, only later to be featured on the news for this act of kindness.

When asked about this memorable dash, Todd says:

“We should all strive to be respectable citizens and [follow] the Golden Rule: 'Treat others as you would like to be treated.' It has been a lot of fun to see the media response and outpouring of kind comments from others!”

In addition to being a Good Samaritan, Todd is a family man and marathon runner who just recently started working at a local aquarium. Before he took on this new role, however, he dashed full-time to earn an income.

“Over the past few years I had been driving rideshare as a part-time job, but after Covid hit I needed something more reliable. Going full-time on DoorDash last summer allowed me to use a business model I was familiar with, but without needing to transport passengers in my family vehicle.”

“The income earned literally kept us afloat during these challenging times and I am very grateful!”

Now employed at his local aquarium, Todd dashes on his days off to save up for something he undoubtedly deserves: a family vacation.

“Dashing in 2021 has become a great way to earn supplemental income on my days off. This has allowed us to start saving up for a much needed family vacation – hopefully a Caribbean cruise when it is once again safe to do so!”
