Built on real feedback from Dashers, the new app is redesigned to make the app faster, simpler, and more intuitive. Everything you once loved about the app has been thoughtfully enhanced — bringing you a smoother experience, right at your fingertips. We’ll be gradually rolling out this update to all Dashers everywhere in the coming weeks, so make sure you have the latest version of the Dasher app installed to experience the new design.

More clarity, speed, and simplicity
The new Dasher app removes clutter and brings the most-used tools and functionalities front and center.
From knowing when it's a good time to dash to checking your earnings, the redesigned layout makes it simple to find what you need. Clear labels, larger buttons, and direct access to features like Dash Now and Schedule a Dash means fewer taps to start dashing— and a faster way to start earning.
Now, key information — including earnings, scheduling options, incentives, and wait times across zones — appears right on the homescreen. With a single glance, you'll know where and when to dash, and how much you're earning.

New DoorDash Dasher app updates and functionalities
Over the next month, we’re gradually rolling out updates to improve your homescreen, sidebar, notifications, and more.
Here’s what’s new in the Dasher app.
Homescreen updates
A new map: The new map makes it easier to compare average wait times across zones, helping you decide where and when to dash next. You’ll see zone boundaries and wait times as you zoom in, and a dash to view live Dasher hotspots.
Real-time earnings button: A dynamic earnings pill at the top of your screen gives you instant visibility: see the earnings of your latest dash when online, or your weekly total when offline. Tap the new earnings button on your home screen to jump to the Earnings tab for more detailed information of your Dasher pay.
Earn by Time button: A new hourglass icon above the Dash Now button lets you toggle to Earn by Time mode — DoorDash's guaranteed active hourly pay option. Green means Earn by Time is selected; gray means you’ll be dashing in Earn per Offer mode instead. With Earn by Time, you're paid based on the total active time spent on a delivery — so even if you hit delays like bad weather, traffic, or long waits at pickup, you’re still earning. The new update also adds “Dash Along the Way” access in Earn by Time mode, so you can compare pay rates across zones before deciding where to dash.
Dash Now & Schedule buttons: These core action buttons are now larger and easier to access. Tap to start dashing instantly or schedule a dash ahead of time, right from the homescreen.
New inbox icon: A bell icon now shows unread messages with a red dot, keeping alerts easy to find and your map clutter-free.
Sidebar navigation updates
Redesigned layout: The sidebar now features a cleaner, more organized layout for quicker access and easier navigation.
Promotions tab: Now your centralized hub for all available promos and incentives while dashing, including new visual indicators for tracking Streaks, Challenges, Peak Pay, and bonus progress at a glance.
Preferences tab: Choose how you like to dash — opt in or out of order types like Shop & Deliver, customize your settings, or switch between multiple vehicles — all from one central spot.
